John's Bday Party

John's 25th birthday party was a lot of fun!

Violet in the Snow!

Violet kept kicking up the snow each time she walked and

then chased after it over and over again!

She was hopping around like a bunny!

John's friend Bryan and his wife Emily have a new baby boy!

Jackson Alan Quinn was born on Christmas Eve!

We had such a special first married Christmas together! We had two family celebrations on Christmas Eve and another get-together with my family on Christmas day. We enjoyed all of the time with our families. Merry Christmas!

We're so glad it's Christmas vacation!

John and I both have this week off and we are so excited

to relax and hang out!

Violet fell asleep last night and didn't wake up when I picked her up!

Violet's Surgery

Violet was spayed on Friday. She's doing well but is very sleepy.

She's supposed to take it easy for 10 days;

I think that is going to be a challenge

because her bursts of energy cause her

to run circles around the kitchen and living room!

She has been very needy for snuggles which is ok with me!

Violet's Ready for Winter!

Violet hates the cold weather. When we take her outside to go to the bathroom she either sits on the porch or goes to the grass and then puts her front paws on one of our feet and her two back paws on the other foot. We thought these booties might help but they're kind of a hassle to put on before we take her out! They look cute though!

A Christmas Tradition

Every year our family goes out to dinner and to a Christmas show.

This year we ate at P.F. Chang's and

went to see A Christmas Carol at the IRT.

Thanks Mom & Dad; it was a lot of fun!

I look forward to this tradition every year!

Violet was excited about her new St. Nick gifts!

We had a great Thanksgiving!

We had lunch with John's family at his brother's house and

dinner with my family at my parents' house.

It was great to spend time with our families!

When we got home, the Christmas decorating began!

Christmas will be here before we know it!

Trip to the Park

We took advantage of the nice weather and took Violet to the park.

She loved exploring all of the new sights and smells!

Halloween Weekend

Over Halloween weekend we took the opportunity to celebrate

Rachel's bday a little early since everyone was together.

Weekend Fun

John caught us snoozing together the other day!

Violet is my second favorite snuggle buddy in the world!

Rachel and Kodi stayed over this weekend, and

Violet was definitely excited to have some visitors to play with!

Violet Snores!

When Violet has had a hard day of playing she is a very heavy sleeper. You can lift her up and she'll stay asleep with her tongue hanging out while she's in your arms. We caught her snoring tonight! Make sure the sound is turned up when you watch this. She's so funny!

Butler's Bulldog Beauty Contest

We entered Violet in Butler's Bulldog Beauty Contest (part of their Homecoming festivites). There were about 90 bulldogs there! It was a lot of fun to see all of the different bulldogs meeting one another. There were eight different categories and each dog could enter into two. We put Violet in "cutest" and "best dressed." We thought for sure she would win cutest, but we didn't (she got the second most votes). During "best dressed" her tutu fell off and a Michael Jackson bulldog went in front of us so we figured we didn't have a chance in that one (the Michael Jackson dog won). Even though we didn't win it was still so much fun! It might become an annual tradition!
