Happy Easter!

This morning before church our little

bunny got some surprises in his Easter basket.

 After church with my family, we went over 

to John's parents' house for lunch.

JJ got some more Easter surprises there!

 I just realized as I was going through the pictures

that we didn't take his picture when he was

dressed up in his Easter outfit, but that's ok 

because it's the same outfit he wore in his

one year pics, so you can see it then

(we took this pics yesterday and will hopefully

have them back in a few weeks)!

Birthday & Easter Party!

 Saturday night we got together with my family

to celebrate Eric and Nick's birthdays 

as well as Easter!

We had many Easter treats as well as

some Ninja Turtle cake pops!

 After dinner we went out back for 

an Easter egg hunt!

 JJ and Alex had fun shaking their eggs!

 It was a very busy party!

When we were done with Easter dinner 

and the egg hunt,

we moved on to birthday presents and

cake pops.  Then we got into our Easter baskets!

 JJ got a new Mickey swim suit and some cool 

new sunglasses for the summer!

 He had a lot of fun taking them off and on:

My mom got bunny ears for the kids to wear:

 Alex was a not a big fan, but he looked so cute!

A New Book and Snack Time!

 JJ picked out a new Veggie Tales book.

He loves pushing the red button which

plays a really cute song!

 

 JJ loves hanging out and eating Cheerios!

He loves scooping out snacks from

his snack cups!

 I love you JJ!

Wonderful Ones!

Today JJ and I went to the Wonderful Ones 

reading group at the public library.

The age range is 12-24 months 

and JJ was the youngest one there.

We sang songs, played a blanket toss, and read books.

JJ liked watching the other little ones.

 The other babies were walking

and able to participate more, but we had a lot of fun!

First Toothbrush

We started brushing JJ's teeth last night.

He has three teeth on top

and three on the bottom 

so we're starting the routine!

 He didn't seem to mind!

He liked chewing on it and wanted to hold it.

Another Winter Break?

I have been looking forward to spring break for awhile now.

I was imagining taking JJ for a walk outside

everyday day, blowing bubbles,

and not wearing a coat!

We've had to find other indoor activities instead 

because of all of the cold weather and snow!

We've rescheduled JJ's one year pictures

two times now due to the weather, so hopefully

the third time's a charm!

JJ went to the doctor today for his one year check-up.

He weighs 26 lb and is 32 in.  

He's still 90% for weight and 95% for height.

He's growing and doing great!

John and I talked about going to Detroit to see the Yankees play

on opening day (and to check off another MLB stadium on our list),

but this was not what he had in mind:

Maybe next year!

Coloring and Fun

JJ tried out some crayons yesterday.

 He really liked watching Daddy color.

 He thought the crayons were pretty cool!

 He spent most of the time taking the crayons 

out of the box, but it's a start!

 One crayon was stuck, and he was

so determined to get it out!

 Violet supervised from the sidelines.

  JJ plays on his Mickey car several times a day.

He's starting pushing it on the kitchen floor and 

then crawling after it while cracking up!

 JJ spends most of his time crawling around

and looking for trouble!

Just when I think everything is put away and 

baby-proofed, he finds something else to get into!
