Having Fun!

JJ loves to sit with his best friend.

He's always petting her and giving her hugs and kisses.

 He keeps trying to feed her from his high chair or snack cup

which Violet loves!

As soon as JJ goes to sleep, Violet passes out because 

she's wiped from chasing that baby all day!

We took JJ to the playground at the school near our house.

He liked these bouncy seats a lot.

He also loved walking around everywhere!

 JJ loves to play with his Daddy!

If you lay down on the ground, JJ will dive into you with a big hug.

 JJ got a prize at the library from the summer reading program

when we went to the library class.

He picked out bubbles and held them the entire time!

 The alligator pool is still a hit!

JJ likes when you talk into a cup and make funny voices.

15 Month Check Up

 JJ had his 15 month check up today.

He is such a big boy!

JJ weighs 30.5 lbs and is 34 in.  

He's off the chart for weight and height.

His head is 19 in (95% for head).

 JJ is finally able to climb the stairs up to the table.

He was so proud!

 The doctor said he's doing great!

Fun in the Sun

JJ has enjoyed many walks outside in the mornings before it gets too hot!

 JJ loves to play ball!

 JJ was a little fearful at his last swimming lesson

because he does not want to put his face in the water

or go under the water.  As long as you keep him above the water

and he has a toy for distraction, he does great!

 I got together with some girls from school with our babies

(and grand baby) for a pool party!

JJ had fun playing with his new alligator pool!

Listen closely because JJ says alligator towards the end of this!

Trip to the Zoo!

My mom and I took JJ to the zoo today.

We went right when they opened, and it was 

nice and cool and not very crowded!

We were able to see a lot of the animals up close 

without anyone else around.

Usually when I see the brown bears, they're far back on the cliff.

We came around the corner and the bear was so close,

my mom and I were afraid to go up to the fence

because we thought he was going to get us!

 JJ seemed really excited about the sea lions.

He liked watching them swimming up close

through the window

(I didn't get a good picture of them; it was too dark!).

We had to look for turtles (or tortoises) because of JJ's turtle hat!

 JJ liked the playground and the carousel.

We're pretty sure he is not a fan of flamingos!

We were sitting close to the fence watching them and

he started getting very nervous!

JJ had fun riding the train!

We were able to get good views of the lions and tigers.

Usually they're hiding in the shade!

This lion was roaring for a long time!
He stopped as soon as I started recording, of course.

Father's Day and 15 Months!

 JJ and Daddy went swimming together on Father's Day.

 On Saturday night we celebrated Father's Day

with my family at my parent's house.

John went to a baseball game with his

brother so he wasn't in the picture!

 JJ and Daddy read the Super Dad book that JJ

got Daddy last year for Father's Day.

 JJ is now 15 months old!

We go to the doctor next week for his 15 month check

so we'll have to see how much he's grown since 12 months!

I love his little hair cut!
