It's no secret that I love all purple things!
We were walking Violet tonight and I was
admiring all of the lilac bushes
around the neighborhood.
I came back from our walk and cut a few
blooms from our lilac bush so
we can enjoy them in the vase in the kitchen.
I love their purple color and their sweet,
fresh fragrance. My mom always had
a lilac bush at our house that seemed to never
bloom and always had some sort of disease!
I remember we cut part of the bush and
took it to a greenhouse to see what was wrong with it
and they told us it was a lost cause.
Whenever I see lilac bushes I think of spring
and how much my mom and I love
their sweet, wonderful smell!!
I just wish their blooms lasted longer!
