Natalie & Eric Meet Violet

Natalie & Eric came over with Andy, Mom, and Dad for a visit with Violet. Natalie was a little more cautious around her than Eric was, but both seemed to love the new puppy! Violet loves to meet new people!

Sleepy Violet

Violet loves to snuggle and take naps. She is playful for short periods of time and then needs rest. Here are some pics of her snoozing:

Changes to Our House

Here is a pic of our house from when we first moved in. We've been very busy this summer painting, cleaning, and landscaping so it looks a lot different now!

Here are some pics of our house now:

Back to School!

School starts next week and I have been busy getting prepared! This year I am teaching second grade. I am a looping teacher so I will have the same students in my class this year who were in my first grade class last year. Thanks to Will and Emily for my new chair! Last year I hung a blanket over the back but now the name on the back can be revealed!
My students and I will both have to get used to my new name!

My New Friends in Our Yard!

We have many trees in our yard and therefore have all kinds of creatures that live outside of our home. I have seen several different kinds of insects I have never seen before. My favorite new friend is a little brown bunny named Cocoa Puff. Below are a few other creatures we have seen.
Here is my friend Toad. He likes to hang out with us when we're working in the yard.
This caterpillar has been next to me each time we've been outside painting the house.
It's very unusual looking!

Chicago Trip to See the Yankees!

Last Friday John and I went to Chicago for the Yankees and White Sox game. The Yankees did not win the game, but we still had a great trip!
Before the game, we stopped by Navy Pier and enjoyed the beautiful view!

On the way we stopped at Fair Oaks Farm and got some yummy homemade ice cream. I had never been there before; it was a nice place to stop to break up the trip.
