Let the Summer Baseball Continue!

To continue our Yankees tour this summer,
we went to see the Yankees play the Reds
in Cincinnati on Monday night
with Andy & Julie.
What a fun night!
Great American Ballpark is one of
my favorite parks so far.

Violet is 2!

Violet turned 2 on June 16th.
Happy Birthday Violet!!

Recycling

I do my best to recycle whenever possible,
but after being in California it made me realize
how far behind Indiana is in recycling efforts!
There were bins that were labeled for trash, recycling,
and composting everywhere! All of the bins
were labeled which made it very easy to recycle everything.
It makes me so mad thinking about all of the cans
and bottles that are thrown away on a daily basis.
I wish we had more public opportunities for recycling!!

Kim & Holt's Wedding!

Kim and Holt's wedding rehearsal dinner
took place at Memorial Stadium at IU.
After dinner we were able to go out on
the field to hang out and take pictures!
(Danielle & I were out of the loop on what
to do with our hands in the pic above)

Their wedding ceremony was outside
at the Secret Garden at the IMU.
Congratulations Kim & Holt!!

We went back to Memorial Stadium for pictures on the
wedding day, and we also went to
Assembly Hall to take pictures as well.
The wedding was such a fun day!

Frozen Yogurt!

For the past year I have been obsessed
with Kroger brand frozen yogurt.
I eat the strawberry flavor at least once a day.
I LOVE IT!
I was so excited to have all of the flavor/toppings
choices at all of the yogurt shops
when we were on vacation.
One of my favorite parts of our California
trip was I was able to eat frozen yogurt all the time!
Tutti Fruiti was by far my favorite place!
We have Ella's Frozen Yogurt by our house which
could mean trouble this summer!

San Diego Video

San Diego Part 4: La Jolla & Padres Game

We drove to La Jolla Beach so we could
put our toes in the Pacific Ocean.
It was so beautiful there!

In an effort to see as many ballparks as possible,
we also went to a San Diego Padres game.
I had never been to a day game before; it was
such a pretty day and the park was the nicest we've been to.

Even though we bought our tickets that same day
of the game, we were able to get pretty good seats.

San Diego Part 3

We walked over to Little Italy for dinner one night.
It was the best meal we had the whole trip!

The Embarcadero outside our hotel in
San Diego had a naval base and a neat statue from
the end of WWII.

This was the view from our hotel:

San Diego Part 2: Balboa Park

Balboa Park is a beautiful place
in San Diego that has all sorts of trails,
flowers, and beautiful sights.
The San Diego Zoo is inside the park
as well as many other museums.
We went one morning and visited
the rose garden and the botanical building.

San Diego Part 1: The Zoo!

After we left Anaheim on Saturday morning,
we drove to the San Diego Zoo.
I was super excited to see the pandas,
and we got really lucky. We were able to walk
right up to them! When we walked past the
panda exhibit later in the day, it was packed!

Anaheim Part 2: Yankees vs. Angels

To continue our baseball theme, we also saw
a game while we were in Anaheim.
We saw the Yankees play the Angels.
This stadium was really nice!
