33 Weeks

Today I am 33 weeks!

We're going to give the 4D ultrasound

another try at a different location

this Saturday so hopefully it'll

actually happen this time!

If not, I guess it wasn't meant to be!

It feels great to have all of these

pending projects finally concluding!

Baby's Room in Progress!

John has been working so hard on getting

the baby's room in order!

The room is painted, and all of the

furniture is assembled and in place.

We're still working on finalizing wall decor

and placement/organization of all of his things!

A Weekend of No Shows

I was really excited about this weekend because we had our 4D ultrasound scheduled for Saturday, and our bathroom was FINALLY supposed to be completed on Sunday. Neither of these things ended up happening!!

Saturday morning we woke up and drove to Castleton for our 9am ultrasound appointment. I was really looking forward to seeing the baby move and taking home the pictures and video to show to our friends and family. The weather wasn't great, but we made it up there and waited in the parking lot because we arrived a little early and no one was there yet. Five minutes before our appointment, the person called and told me she wasn't going to make it in. I was so annoyed! I asked for a refund (they made us pay a deposit and then didn't show up!) and will not be rescheduling there.

Sunday morning we woke up expecting our bathroom guy to arrive "between 9 and 10" which in his terms means 11:00 (the bathroom project ended up being delayed because the original vanity we picked didn't align with the location of the previously placed plumbing; we ordered a new vanity that took 4 weeks to come in and were really excited about finally having a sink in the bathroom!). No call, no show from our bathroom guy all day today. His voicemail inbox is full and he won't answer the phone! What a bummer!

Our carpet is scheduled to be installed in the baby's room on Tuesday so hopefully we'll have better luck with that actually happening! The baby's room is painted and we have all of his furniture and bedding so once the carpet is in I'll be able to post pictures of his room! Don't hold your breath on the bathroom pics!

Baby Shower!

My shower was so much fun! My mom,

sister, and John's mom worked so hard to put

together a beautiful shower for me and the baby!

We received many wonderful gifts from

our friends and family. Thanks to everyone!

We played a few fun games after we ate brunch.

It was fun to see my cousin Ana who's

also expecting a baby boy (in May).

I was so happy that my friends Erika, Kim,

and Danielle were there!

Thanks to Aunt Kathy for the cute bear and outfit!

Carina and Maddie had fun taking

care of baby Kara!

The diaper cake was my favorite part!

We had a yummy candy table as well as

baby and puppy brownie pops!

John's mom made the adorable fruit baby carriage:
