Christmas in Ohio

We went to Ohio for a Christmas get together 

with my mom's family.  

JJ met his great grandma Giesige!

 It was nice to be able to see my Aunt Kathy!

Happy Birthday John!

John turned 28 today.

We went out to lunch to Chicago's Pizza 

to celebrate:

Blizzard!

We spent more time layering and bundling than we 

actually spent outside, but we took JJ out to

experience his first large amount of snow 

which happened to be a blizzard (9 inches)!

 The mittens that came with his hat are a little big!

 Violet was not a very willing participant

9 Month Check Up

We went for JJ's nine month check up,

 and he's doing great!

I remembered we were in the Lion King room

for his first doctor's visit so I decided to take another 

picture so we could see how much our sweet little boy

has grown in the past nine months!

JJ is 23 lbs and 31 in long.

He's 90% for head size and weight and off the chart for height.

You can't see JJ very well in this pic, 

but look how tiny he was!

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas!  

JJ loves all of his new clothes, books, toys, and college money!

Violet loves her new purple bone:

Alex and JJ enjoyed their first Christmas with one another.

JJ got a special new baseball glove chair for Christmas:

Natalie and Eric were excited about all of the snow!

Christmas Eve

 We had a very special first Christmas Eve together!

First we went to church with my family.

After church we went over to my parents' house:

Still no teeth yet!

Then we headed over to John's parents' house:

JJ is such a sweet little snuggle bear!!

When we got home, JJ made sure to leave cookies and milk for Santa!
