Getting Old(er)

I received Kim & Holt's wedding invite
in the mail today and visited their wedding website.
This picture was on their page about
when they first met.
I can't believe how young we look on
the night they met in 2007!
It's crazy how quickly time has gone by!

Violet Update

Violet was being good during her recovery until
she went outside, rolled in the dirt, and got
her head, cone, and eyes completely covered with mud!
Her stitches on her side also came out so I had to
take her back in to get five staples to close it back up!
She has to wear a t-shirt to protect the staples
so she's wearing her Butler Bulldogs shirt.
I'll definitely be glad when she is healed
and back to feeling better!

Violet's Recovery

Violet is being a trooper about her recovery.
Her eyes are very sore, but she's being good about
getting her ointment three times a day.

She had a little bump that turned out to be some
type of infection so we also had that removed
during her entropion surgery. Now in addition to her eyes
she has another sore spot that we have to keep
an eye on during these two weeks.
Feel better soon Violet!

Kim's Bridal Shower

Today was my friend Kim's bridal shower.
Anytime she missed a question about Holt while
opening her gifts, she had to wear a new piece of
bridal clothing. Here she's wearing the headpiece
that her mom wore at her wedding!

Cute bride & groom Trolls:

The shower was a lot of fun!
May 28th will be here before we know it!

Bringing Back the Cone

Unfortunately, Violet will soon look like
this again next week. We went back to
the vet today, and she is going to have
her entropion surgery redone. He is going to
have to take a considerably larger amount from
each of her lower eyelids to prevent a reccurrence.
She is having the surgery next Friday, and I will be home
with her the next week during my spring break.
Hopefully it'll last this time around!!

Ready for Spring!

This beautiful weather today has made
me so excited and ready for spring!
I do this every year, but as soon as
my allergies start up, I will regret
ever wishing spring to come!
