Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas!

I will be 29 weeks on Monday so I'm

officially into the third trimester!

At my November appointment I

was measuring one week big and at

my December appointment I was

measuring three weeks big!

We received many gifts for the baby

for Christmas which is so exciting!

I love my new red pajamas from John's parents!

It was fun to watch our two year old nephew

Jackson open his presents this year. He was

very excited about his new toys.

Violet had a very nice Christmas. She loves

all of her new toys and her

Charlie Brown Christmas bandana.

I was so excited about these "dirty dog" bath toys!

They have browns spots that wash

away with warm water in the tub!

We had a nice dinner with John's family at

Stone Creek on Christmas Eve.

Andy, Julie, Natalie, & Eric came in town

on Christmas day for presents and dinner!

Checking Things off the List!

I've been trying to use these few weeks off to

rest but also to check off some pending items

from our ever growing to-do list.

My grades for my Masters are finally posted

so I am now officially done with school!

That is a major item to have checked off the list!

Our bathroom is in the final stages of remodeling

and should be completed any day now

(will post pics soon)!

We have the baby's furniture and bedding

and have made arrangements to have the carpet

and window replaced in his room, so once that's done

we'll be able to start setting up his room!!

All of the changes have really been wearing out Violet

(the bathroom remodel has been particularly stressful for her):

Christmas Vacation!

This is always my favorite song to listen to

when school gets out!

I'd always listen to it on the way home

from Bloomington after finals

and it would put me in the best mood ever!

I just submitted my final Masters' project

and school is out for two weeks

so it's definitely time to listen to this song!!

23 Weeks

We picked out the colors for the baby's room!

We'll hopefully be painting his room soon!

New Christmas Ornament

Each year John and I pick out

a new ornament to add to our tree.

This year, we picked one

that's related to our new little baby!

Our Favorite Finds

It was so much fun to look around

at all of the baby things this weekend and

know that we need baby boy things!

We bought a few things this weekend

because we couldn't resist!!

I love Charlie Brown so I was excited to find this.

This little blanket is so cute!!

We loved this little robot sleeper!

Violet is very excited about the puppy theme.

She has been very curious about the recent activity

in the baby's future room as well as the new items

we've been bringing home.

We Finally Found Out!

Everything went well at our ultrasound yesterday.

They gave us the exciting news

that we are having a baby boy!

We are so beyond happy and excited!!

It was so special to see the baby's heart pumping

and his little arms and legs moving around.
He weighs 14.5 ounces.

I know the regular ultrasounds are difficult to see

details, but there was one point where we saw

his face, and he looked just like John!

We both just looked at each other and smiled.

We'll see what he really looks like soon enough!

Can't wait!!

Before we found out, I always had my eye on puppy

dogs for a boy, and John loves the sports stuff.

Last night we went to Babies R Us and they had
a new bedding set called Bow Wow Buddies

where puppy dogs are playing sports! It was meant to be!

A New Baby!

Our friends Jeff & Ashtin have a new baby boy!

Masen Michael Gurevitz was born on

Sunday, October 30th! Such a sweetie!

he was out trick-or-treating.

Last Halloween I found this cute little grapes

outfit at Target for $3! I couldn't help but get

it for Violet to wear this Halloween.

Violet was not a huge fan of the outfit, but she was

a good sport and let me get a few pics.

She has no idea about the photo shoots that

await once the baby arrives!!

20 Weeks

My belly has definitely been growing over

the past few weeks! I've been feeling the baby

move around a lot lately which is

so neat and exciting! We are so excited

to go to our ultrasound this Friday!

Fall Break

We had parent teacher conferences last week on Monday and Tuesday so we had fall break Wed.-Fri. It was so nice to have a little bit of time off! John took off Thursday afternoon-Sat. so we were able to hang out! On Thursday afternoon I had my doctor's appointment which went really well. The baby's heartbeat was 153, and we scheduled our ultrasound for November 4th. Can't wait!

We also spent a lot of time during the break to test drive and research cars since we are in the market for getting a new one. There was a slight obstacle that got in our way though. We got out at one of the dealerships to look at a car, and we were just planning on sneaking a peek and then driving away to avoid getting hounded. Since it was going to be quick, John left the keys in the car, and I left my purse there as well. I didn't know he left his keys at the time so I locked the doors to keep my purse safe. We ended up spending a lot more time than intended waiting an hour and a half for AAA to come unlock our car since both sets of keys were locked inside!

Besides that, we had a great break just hanging out! Didn't buy a car yet but hopefully will soon!

Football Game

Last weekend John and I went to see the

Colts vs. Bengals game in Cincinnati.

I had never been to the stadium before, and

it was a really pretty day!

We went with my parents, Andy, & Julie.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Violet to Apple Works last weekend

to pick out pumpkins. It was such a nice day!

15 Weeks

I want to try to take pics along the way so I asked

John to take some pics of my belly last night.

The first shot is the one he took first.

He thinks he's so funny. : )

Then we tried it again and actually got my

belly in it this time (Violet's what we call

a velcro dog so she's always by my side):

I can't wait for the baby to continue to grow!

We're so anxious to find out if it's a boy

or a girl so we can start buying things!!

This was my belly at 12 weeks.

Violet's Big News

Violet is so excited that she is going

to be a big sister!

John and I are expecting our first baby

on March 19th! We can't wait!

My mom gave us this cute magnet to display

I Love When She Does This!

I don't think I'll ever be able to take enough

pictures of Violet when I catch her snoozing like this!

Soccer Star

Violet was not able to spend much time outside

when it was very hot so since it's been a little cooler

she's been enjoying walks and soccer outside.
